Latest Kundan Jewellery designs trend in Pakistan 2013

Kundan is a traditional jewellery design eminent in the South Asian region. Setting carefully shaped, cut and polished multi-coloured gemstones into exquisitely designed pure gold or faux metal base, creates kundan jewellery. Various distinctive artisans work on each piece of kundan embellishment. The chiterias do the work of basic designing of the jewellery; engraving work is carried out by ghaarias; the enamelling work is done by enamelers;  goldsmiths look after the gold or kundan work and finally stone-setters do work of just setting the precious stone in the holes of the jewellery.

Meena kundan, also known as jaipuri jewellery, is popular variation of kunda, where in  enamelling with vivid colours and design are on the reverse, while  the kundan setting is in the front. The city of Jaipur in Rajasthan has traditionally been the centre for kundan jewellery in Indai.
